St Ronans News Letter August 16

Trixie’s Blog

Our Garden continues to bloom beautifully and Residents, friends and families enjoy it daily with cups of tea and a snack or two! The Portsmouth in Bloom evening for the competition results will be on Thursday 15th September ~ here’s hoping we may be lucky ~ however it’s like a little bit of Heaven for us all and that is all that matters. Huge thanks to dear Martin our Maintenance Manager for all the help with the endless watering.

Activities We are enjoying some wonderful Activities and Dolly Parton last week and our Posh Tea Party was brilliant. The Posh Tea Party was for the Macmillan Nurses and we managed to collect about £65 and rising, will send monies next week ~ fabulous. We have some brilliant Activities booked right up until Christmas with Posh Tea Parties so please make sure you collect your new Newsletter for dates. Our lovely Bob from St Simons Church continues to come along for communions and to support in happy and sad times. Also dear Wendy who comes along regularly for individual blessings and in hours of need. We are so lucky to have them both and their support  at St Ronans.

Fund Raising Friends and Relatives old and new very kindly continue to support our fund and so this enables us to have lovely treats ~ sweets, fish and chips on our outings, special picnics in our garden, make up for our make up club, endless lovely things. Thank you all so much for your endless kindness and care. Our Autumn cake sale in our front garden and Relatives and Friends meeting will be in October; a date will go up on the board in the lobby.

Feedback Please continue to write feedback forms and pop them into Matron’s Box on the reception desk.

Hugest thanks for your continual support, kindness and good cheer to us all at St Ronans. You are all such a valuable part of us. With our love and blessings, Trixie xxx
