Career: Technical Author; Lecturer in Further Education in English, Drama and Media Studies; tutor; College Governor and Union Officer; Honourable Secretary of HCA and Vice Chair RNHA (Local Branch)

J. Helliwell: Cert. Ed;
Career: Infant, primary and secondary teacher for 30 years; Deputy Headteacher; Union Officer; Executive member of HCA and RNHA

Managers

A. Bulley - Registered Manager / Matron
Career: Trained as enrolled nurse; joined the Royal Navy in 1990; left when started a family; worked in intensive care for 3 years; converted to RGN in 1997; NVQ assessor, D32/33; matron at Tudor Lodge for 7 months; Matron at St Ronans from 05/12/2000; Registered Managers Award (RMA)

S. Adams - Business Manager
Career: Worked in the nursing and residential care industry for 20 years; Director of a domiciliary care company 10 years; Exectutive HDCA Committee member 3 years, Secretary HDCA 3 years, Local Area Representitive HDCA 3 years, contract tendering 15 years, registered childminder 5 years, finance manager 15 years

Staff Qualifications

Registered Managers are trained to Registered Managers Award, NVQ IV or similar as a minimum

Trained Staff Nurses are RN level I or II

Nursing Assistants are supported and encouraged to become Level 2 qualified and progress on to their Level 3 or higher.

Housekeeping staff receive COSHH training and Manual Handling training as a minimum

Cooks are required to have Basic Food Hygiene as a minimum

All staff are encouraged through the training and development programme to gain as much knowledge, skills and qualifications as is appropriate and necessary.
